Go 'Stormers!

On Saturday night, we headed to an Iowa Barnstormers game. We've been to them in the past when they used to be here (a little rowdy) and we didn't know for sure what to expect. Not quite as rowdy, but still a lot of fun. Ella LOVED it!

Charles' sister Carmen and her two kids - Colten and Laura were down on Friday and Saturday for a wedding and to do some shopping. Colten stayed home with us while Carmen and Laura went to a wedding. Ella kept Colten busy riding bikes, going to the park, playing baseball and drawing. Here they are playing with sidewalk chalk.

Long time...

It sure has been a long time since I've written on our blog. Ella is potty trained now, with the exception of some nights and some naps. She's doing so good.

We traveled back to our parents' houses for Easter. We spent time dying Easter eggs, having an Easter egg hunt, eating some wonderful Easter dinners, visiting with family and bowling. What a wonderful time to get together and enjoy each other's company.

We did end up going to the Iowa Stars hockey game about a month ago. We had great seats and Ella was on the Jumbo-tron twice. We heard about that from a few friends who were also at the game and saw her.

Since then, the weather has been warming up and we've been spending lots of time outdoors. Picking up sticks, drawing with side walk chalk, riding the tricycle, going on bike rides and walks. Ella got a bicycle over the weekend, so she's been riding that around like crazy, with her helmet on, of course! She's having a little hard time adjusting to not being able to pedal backwards on the bicycle, like she can on her tricycle. But she's getting the hang of it.

Her favorite words right now are, Oh Man, Oh my goodness, Buenas Noches, Need hugs and kisses, and counting to 10 in Spanish. Next month, she'll be 2 1/2 years old already. Time flies!

This weekend, we'll have some family in town and we're heading to the Iowa Barnstormers game. Enjoy the beautiful weather and the pictures below...
