Ella's first dog show

Last night we were in the backyard playing fetch with Penny and Ella decided that she was going to 'show' Duste. So she took her by the collar and lead her all around the yard. A couple of times falling on her face when Duste starting running, but within a few minutes, Ella wouldn't let go of the collar and Duste was very well behaved with her. It was so funny to watch.

Parade

Emmetsburg celebrated their 150th Anniversary, so we headed to the parade on Saturday morning. I am surprised that Ella's arm didn't fall off for as much waving as she did, but man did she have fun and get lots of candy and 'stuff'.

We even found her a car!

Boat rides

We came out of the camper one morning to fix breakfast and Ella was determined to convince us that our lifejackets would fit her - ha!

More lake fun

Ella can't play in the sand at the lake without having a bucket of water to wash off in. The last time we were home was over the 4th of July. Ella (and Charles) had lots of fun doing sparklers. Uncle Byron found the big sparklers at the farm. Grandma Helen said she remembered buying them when Charles was with her - probably more than 10 years ago. They still worked fine though!

Charles' 'good-bye, not so good-bye' party

Charles got a promotion at work and so he has transferred to another area. His co-workers threw him a going away party. Ella made herself right at home with Marcia, Valin and Michael. Valin was showing Ella the ropes on text messaging. Too funny!

Relaxing at the lake

Ella and I relaxing on the pontoon while we drive around the lake.

Ella trying to dump sand on her cousin, Kory.

Thankfully Kory shared his donuts with Ella; otherwise she might have been a little upset =)

It's my turn to paddle, Dad!

Ella says, 'this is how you do it, Mom'.

All ready to go swimming, Mom!

Good yogurt!
