Let's try this again

So we headed back to the lake on June 5-6th for another try at the lake. Once again - cold and rainy. Saturday at noon, it was 49 degrees. Forget it - packed up and came back home, early again.

We're optimistic that this weekend will be better. On Thursday, it's supposed to be 88 degrees and humid. We're hoping that continues into the weekend.

This past weekend, we hung out at home and got our driveway cleaned - full of crap from the trees. Then we got the trees trimmed and dogs washed. Charles even took some interesting pictures of this squirrel in our tree.

We also got a new digital camera, although I can't take a picture of the new camera. If interested, it's the Nikon D60.

Memorial Day Weekend

Well, Memorial Day is usually the weekend that kicks off our summer weekends at the lake. Not so much this year. Ran and storms prevented us from doing anything at the lake, but sleep, eat (inside) and watch movies. So we cut the weekend short and instead came back home earlier than planned.

On the way home, we stopped at Don and Brenda's house (Charles sister), where Ella helped to plant some fruit trees with Kory and his friend. Then Ella got to watch her cousin Kory shoot a gardner snake with a rifle. Good Job Ko-wee, as Ella would say! Then got to ride on the 4-wheeler.
