Alexis' Baptism

Alexis Sophia Anliker was baptized into the Catholic faith on Sunday, December 6th, 2009 at our Catholic church - St. Pius X in Urbandale. Msgr. Joe McDonnell presided and did a beautiful job. My godmother, Sr. Renae Hohensee, did the reading for us. Lots of family were present to support all of us. Alexis' Godparents are Josh Hohensee (my brother) and Cindy Hughes-Anliker (Charles' brother, Clark's wife). Both will be great Catholic role-models for Miss Lexi. She is blessed to have two wonderful godparents who love her very much.

After the baptism at church, we had everyone over to our home for a chili and chicken noodle soup lunch.

Smiles

On Saturday, December 5th, Alexis decided to smile at us while she was awake for the first time. There is nothing better in this world than seeing your kids smile and this just made me melt. We also had some family pictures taken and the first pictures of Alexis and of Alexis and Ella together.
