We took Lexi to the doctor yesterday for her 4 month appt. She was 12 lbs, 7 oz and 24 3/4" long. In comparison to Ella, she's a little smaller. Ella was 14 lbs, 9 oz and 25" long.
Lexi is really wanting to sit up now and rolled over for the first time on Sunday from her tummy to her back. She did it and just kept on playing. I thought maybe she'd be a little surprised, but she really wasn't. My baby is growing up....

Swimming Lessons
Since we spend quite a bit of time at the lake in the summer, we thought it'd be a good idea for Ella to take some formal swimming lessons. She loved it! And did really good, floating, jumping in, working on her strokes and going all the way under the water for 5 seconds, which I thought was really, really good. We don't have any good pictures because it was so humid in the pool that the lens kept fogging up.
The good news was that the next week, she got to practice her skills while we visited Charles' parents in a hotel while they were visiting with Helen's brothers and sisters.

Lowe's
Ella loves going to Lowe's - primarily for their Build and Grow clinics. She has made probably 10 different things. Anyway, a few weeks ago we were out sort of near Lowe's on Hickman by Living History Farms at a stop light and all of a sudden Ella says, "Do we have to go to Lowe's?" It is not only amazing to me that she knows the store (although we do frequent there a lot), but the fact that she knows how to get there!
Bedtime routines
It's hard for us to remember what routines we had for Ella WAY back when =) So I decided to put their routines on here, so we can easily look back.

Monsters!!!!
In February, Ella started to become scared of monsters. She'd wake up multiple times a night - usually 6 or more screaming and will sometimes come into our room. Then about the same time, she was not feeling well one day, saying her tummy hurt, which was a separate occurance. But then she starting combining the two - when she's come up to bed, she's say her tummy hurt. To solve the problem, I bought a plain plastic squirt bottle, filled it with water and wrote "Monster Spray - getting rid of monsters forever". The funny thing though - Ella would say that she liked the little monsters.
Preschool Round-up
You got it folks, Miss Ella starts preschool this fall. She'll be going to Catholic school. We had a meeting and the kids got to play in their room and meet some of the other kids. She is so excited to go and talks about it constantly! We are so blessed to have a great church and school. The teachers and staff and principal have been so good thus far about meetings, answering questions and remembering us as we meet them from time to time! Ella is playing a Noah's Ark game in this picture.

Monster Snowman
After 65"+ of snow this winter, Ella has just been chomping at the bit to build something, so her and Charles went out to the park directly behind our house and constructed this. I put some water and food coloring in a spray bottle and then we had a blue snowman with carrots for teeth and a nose. Ella had so much fun. I think Charles did too, especially when he made the belly and it was so big he couldn't even lift it up.
